Speed Test

Currently, our speed test only supports connectivity test of up to 100Mbps. This service is hosted within our network, AS 55518. Email us if you will like to peer with us.

Looking Glass

Our looking glass provides a view of the routes that are advertised by members and received by our the route-servers (RS) and route-collectors (RC). Not all our members are peeing with the RS and RC, this means that the routes present in SGIX could be more. Please refer to our “List of Members” pagefor a full list of the ASN peering at SGIX.

Access are logged and information provided on an as is basis.

Route-servers

SGIX operates 2 route-servers (RS). By peering with RS, there is no need to main multiple BGP sessions with other members. Please contact us to setup the BGP session with RS.

Things to note when peering with RS

1. Remove private ASN in your prefix advertisment
2. Prefixes stated in RFC 1918 should be removed as well.
3. Disable check on first-ASN. As far as we know, this is applicable to Huawei (“undo check-first-as”) and Cisco equipment (“no bgp enforce-first-as”)
4. The RS only accept a maximum of 2,000 prefixes, please contact us if you are advertising more than that.

Conditions

1. Members are advised to peer with both route servers.
2. Members are advised to establish or maintain bi-lateral peering relationship with members they deem important.
3. Members agree not to hold SGIX responsible for any impact on traffic flow due to policies request configured at RS by other members.

Services:

The route servers support BGP community attributes. Besides the standard well-known community attributes like NO_EXPORT and NO_ADVERTISE, the following table shows other supported attributes and the top-down evaluation order.

Prefixes which are untagged will be advertised to all route server peers. Also, attributes that do not match our attributes will be passed on transparently.
